Ingredients
- Yield: 1 dumpling/ball
- 1 cup flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 tablespoon cooking oil
- Water/broth/soup/stew
Preparation
- Bring a pot of water or a tasty liquid (such as broth, soup or stew) to the stove.
- Begin to boil the liquid.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, milk and cooking oil in a small bowl.
- Stir mixture until well combined.
- Drop the stirred mixture, a teaspoon or tablespoon at a time, into the pot of boiling liquid.
- Cover the pot, and allow the dumplings to simmer for 10-12 minutes over a low heat. They’ll be finished when a toothpick, inserted into the center, comes out clean.
